Matt most recently led the DevOps team to launch Sony's consumer photo/video hosting service. Before that, he wrote and launched the Scribd API in 3 months, built the Whole Foods Market's kiosk iPad app in 1 month, and was an early engineer at StepUp Commerce which Intuit acquired for $60M. Matt loves biking, frisbee, and puppies.
VP, Strategy & Business Development
Ryan heads our business efforts. He was Director of Business Development and Strategy for McGraw Hill and held a similar position at AOL. When not working hard at NewsLook, he can be found playing with his young son.
VP, Syndication & Sales
David leads our sales team. Prior to NewsLook, he built and managed teams that led the B2B content licensing divisions at CNN and ABC to record growth and profit. An avowed music lover and road cyclist, he lives in Pelham with his wife and son.
A recent Brandeis graduate in Computer Science, Yale joined the NewsLook team in 2012 as a software engineer. He has been building websites since his childhood and is responsible for keeping the pipes flowing and building out our video syndication platform. When he's not coding, you can find him practicing yoga and reading about neuroscience in the suburbs of New Jersey.
Before coming to NewsLook, Chris served as a combat correspondent in The United States Marine Corps. He was embedded with US and Iraqi forces during the US “surge” of 2007 and reported from disaster relief sites in Southeast Asia. Once a D&D geek, Chris has blossomed into a social butterfly and now manages our social media.
Anthony joined the NewsLook team in the middle of 2011. He is responsible for our vertical content acquisition strategy, targeting premium publishers for syndication and exploring technology partnerships. A 2010 graduate of Hamilton College, he is our resident cord cutter who wishes that the fine folks at his local telecom company would stop calling.
James makes NewsLook’s vision and strategies come to life, animating our video collection and backend technology into a sleek user friendly interface. He is an interactive designer and developer whose work has been shown at Apple Keynote and earned honors at the Webbys and OMMA Awards. He has designed for Reuters, Nintendo, Stella McCartney, and Target. James is also a portrait photographer whose work appears at the top of this page.
Michael has been working as an editor in the digital video space for over five years, launching his career at start-up video news syndicate Voxant (now Grab Networks), and moving on to produce and edit top quality educational content for The Learning Annex. Michael is our blogging guru. He is the only guy in the Bronx who is a Mariner’s fan.
Keris lived and worked as a finance journalist in Australia before moving to New York City with the dream of recreating every scene in Seinfeld. She loves books that make you think and movies that don’t and hopes one day to be a writer of both.
Marnie is a recovering newspaper reporter and editor who’s happily jumped onto the online media bandwagon. A graduate of the illustrious Knox College, she satisfied her wanderlust with studies in Ireland and France and currently enjoys wandering (albeit quickly) through the streets of New York. Between updating her fitness blog and running, she enjoys eating at as many restaurants as possible, thanks to her Groupon addiction.
