That doesn't mean he has amnesia."U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Robert Bales is suspected of walking off his base in southern Afghanistan on March 11 and gunning down the 16 civilians, including nine children.He is being kept in solitary confinement at the Fort Leavenworth military detention centre.Bales has not yet been charged.Sophia Soo, Reuters.
