Production of marmite at this factory in New Zealand is suspended, after parts of the infrastructure have been deemed unsafe following last year's earthquakes.Sanitarium is eeking out the last batches of the sticky black spread, but some stores are already out of stock.The factory's general manager Pierre Van Heerden is telling customers to ration.(SOUNDBITE) Pierre Van Heerden, general manager, Sanitarium, saying (English):"If you have it every day, maybe have it every second day, and don't go out there and panic buy."The factory hopes to get production back on track by July 2012.Kilmeny Duchardt, Reuters.
