It's a fresh twist on the usually dull on-board safety video. Air New Zealand has given its demonstration film a Hobbit-themed revamp, featuring cameo appearances from the character Gollum and the film's director Peter Jackson. The video includes all the normal information such as fastening and unfastening a seat belt and fitting a lifejacket - but in this case the 'passengers' are all dwarves, wizards and hobbits. Like the 'Lord Of The Rings' movies, the upcoming film 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' was predominantly shot in New Zealand. Air New Zealand is expected to reveal a Hobbit-themed aircraft prior to the movie's global premiere in Wellington on November 28.
