The daily digit today is 120 million. 120 million Americans are expected at polling stations across the country today, casting their votes in the U.S. presidential election. They will either grant President Barack Obama a second term or replace him with Republican candidate, Mitt Romney. Romney already voted at a community center near his home in a Boston suburb, then he dashed off for a pair of last-minute stops, one in the battle ground state of Ohio. President Obama cast his ballot in early voting in October, but today made a surprise visit to his campaign office in his hometown of Chicago. Fueled by record spending on negative ads, the battle between the two candidates was focused primarily on the lagging economic recovery and persistently high unemployment, but at times it also turned personal. Now the 120 million that are expected to cast their votes will set the country's course for the next four years on spending, taxes, healthcare and foreign policy.
