SCRIPT: Bond fans beware -- some of 007s most formidable foes are on display at Washington's Spy Museum. 50 years worth of bad-guys, many of whom can be traced to real life -- from drug kingpins to femme fatals. SOUNDBITE 1 Chris Moran (man) Espionage specialist (English, 17 sec) "During the cold war, the KGB and the GIU, the Russian intelligence services were regularly sending female agents into the United States and into the United Kingdom hoping to honeytrap British and American civil servants, people with access to atomic secrets, defense secrets from the era." And Bond babes aren't the only foils inspired by real life -- ex-CIA agent Marc Stout says the villains in today's films reflect the realities of modern intelligence. SOUNDBITE 2 Marc Stout (man) Exhibit curator, Former CIA agent (English, 13 sec): "He's dealing with terrorists group where you never quite know who's a member and who isn't and I think that's quite similar in a lot of ways to say Al Qaeda where you never quite know if somebody is a member of al Qaeda or are they not, where do their sympathies really lie." But former agent Tony Mendez says spy life isn't nearly as action-packed as it looks on the big screen. SOUDNBITE 3 Tony Mendez (man) Former CIA agent (English, 18 sec): "Normally, you're sitting by the pool at a fine hotel in some wonderful place waiting for your contact to show up. So you can be sitting there for three days thinking, 'They really pay me to do this!'" Visitors to the exhibit are invited to test their own spy skills : from hanging on for dear life and disarming a bomb -- to keeping cool in the face of danger.
