Nicole Kidman turned out at the Sundance Film Festival to launch "Stoker." The Australian actress plays a recently widowed mother whose daughter becomes obsessed with an uncle she never knew existed. This is the first english language movie by South Korean director Park Chan Wook, best known for his bloody revenge movies "Old Boy" and "Lady Vengeance," and this is likely to be more of the same. "He's a master as any filmmaker will tell you and I loved working with unusual filmmakers. Really, he's meticulous and I think that's what you'll see in the film, but I haven't seen the film yet so I'm sitting through it for the first time tonight." The only problem with working together is that Park Chan Wook can't speak english, so Nicole found other ways of understanding instructions from the director. "You can start to sort of feel them. I know that sounds a bit strange but I could feel what I wanted and I could just sense from him. So you have a kind of unusual language together that's not words, it's thoughts." "Stoker" has been received well at Sundance and looks set to open up Park Chan Wook to a whole new audience when the film is released in most territories in the spring.
