"SOS" Signs Visible as Cruise Ship Approaches Alabama Coast

The cruise ship described as a 'floating toilet' for the hellish and unsanitary conditions on board is towed to an Alabama port days after a weekend engine fire left it adrift in the Gulf of Mexico.

Three tugboats hauled the cruise ship refered to as a "floating toilet." It's actual name -- the Carnival Triumph --- seemingly ironic in light of the "SOS" signs made by some of the more than 4,000 passengers trapped on board. They have endured overflowing toilets, sweltering temperatures and say the air is thick with the stench of rotting food --- all of it a result of an engine room fire over the weekend that cut off power to the ship and left it adrift in the Gulf of Mexico. Triumph, seen here off the coast of Alabama .. is in the last leg of its journey to a port in Mobile -- expected to arrive sometime Thursday evening.
