These sword swallowers are on the cutting edge of their craft. They showcased their skills in Los Angeles to celebrate World Sword Swallowers Day. And for Amy Amnesia -- it was her first such event -- and one she will not easily forget. SOUNDBITE: Amy Amnesia, sword swallower, saying (English): "I've been practicing at home for a couple of months now and it takes an awful lot of work to retrain your body to accept the fact that there is a solid piece of steel in your esophagus." The show took place just across the street from the Oscars red carpet and Amnesia says the two events have more in common than you might think. SOUNDBITE: Amy Amnesia, sword swallower, saying (English): "We're all doing the same thing, we're entertaining the public. The people winning Oscars and the people here swallowing swords, we're basically doing the same thing, right?" A notion some might find hard to swallow.
