French films are striking gold in Hollywood, and stars of Parisian cinema including Audrey Tautou and Romain Duris are helping to fuel the boom in business at the "Rendez-Vous with French Cinema" festival in New York.

SHOTLIST : NEW YORK, FEB 28, 2013, SOURCE: AFPTV SOUNDBITE 1 Audrey Tautou, French actress (French, 20 sec): "I think we are here to try to help promote French cinema, encourage people to go see French movies, we are like representatives but... it's not so much aimed at the public as the movie industry, where we really need to find our place.' [French: "Je crois justement qu'on est là pour essayer de le [le cinéma français] mettre en valeur, essayer de le faire voir, on est un peu des représentants, mais [hésitation] c'est pas tant par rapport au public finalement, c'est plus par rapport à l'industrie où il faut réussir à trouver sa place."] SOUNDBITE 2 François Ozon, French director (French, 16 sec): "It's true I've been really lucky because all my films have come out in the US, but I've never really known why. Some of them get better results than others. The latest "Potiche" worked really well, this one "Dans la Maison" will be out in April, so I don't know, we'll see how it goes then." [French: "C'est vrai que j'ai eu beaucoup de chance parce que tous mes films sont sortis aux Etats-Unis, après je ne sais jamais exactement pourquoi. Il y a des films qui marchent plus ou moins bien.
