ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Filmmaker Martin Scorsese honored fellow director Darren Aronofsky at the first annual First Time Fest in New York on Monday (March 4). Aronofsky is the brains behind such box office hits as "Black Swan", "The Wrestler" and "Requiem for a Dream." The 44-year-old began his film career with the black and white thriller "Pi" in 1998, which Scorsese jokingly described as distressing. Scorsese went on to call the young film maker fearless and vividly alive. The newly formed festival was formed by Mandy Ward and Tony Bennett's daughter Johanna Bennett, who wasn't shy about using her father for help. The festival is for first time film makers with one director winning theatrical distribution and full international sales representation from the American film distributor Cinema Libre Studio.
