There is a lot of off the field drama for the Seattle Mariners. The wife of Mariners outfielder Carlos Peguero has been accused of making one hundred and eighty thousand dollars in unauthorized purchases with another player's wife's debit card. According to the Seattle Times, Maria Jaqueline Peguero was charged with three counts of wire fraud. She allegedly used Felix Hernandez's wife's card to make over sixty purchases. Peguero says that Hernandez's wife asked her to help her make the purchases because of her limited understanding of English. If she is found guilty she could face up to twenty years in prison.
