STILL OF TROTT LEAVING THE PITCH FOLLOWING HIS DISMISSAL STORY: Former England cricket captain Andrew Flintoff says Jonathan Trott should be allowed to recover in private following his Ashes meltdown and return home from Australia suffering from a stress-related issue. Speaking at an awards ceremony in London on Wednesday (November 27) Flintoff, who played 79 tests matches for England before retiring through injury, said: "We've not got all the facts and I don't think we should get all the facts. "I think he should have his privacy to get on with his life and come back from whatever problems he's got. The world of professional sport is stressful, as is everyday life. It's obvious that Jonathan's got his at the moment, we wish him well but I think he should be left alone to get on with it and come back batting for England, which is what everyone wants to see." Trott said he was taking a break from cricket for the "foreseeable future" on Monday after England were thrashed by 381 runs in the first test. The 32-year-old has been a batting mainstay of the side since making his debut and he averaged 89 in 2010-11 when England won an overseas Ashes series for the first time in 24 years. The Warwickshire batsman, however, fared poorly in the home series victory over Australia earlier this year, averaging 29. He was bounced out by Australia paceman Mitchell Johnson for scores of 10 and nine at the Gabba last week. Opener Marcus Trescothick pulled out of England's 2006-07 Ashes Tour with depression and never played international cricket again while spinner Michael Yardy also departed from England's 2011 World Cup team with a similar problem.
